Through asana, pranayama, mantra, mudra, visualization, storytelling, and sacred incantation, we enter a living tapestry of devotional practice.

This afternoon explores the sacred trilogy of the TriDevi — the three primary forms of the Divine Mother in Indian tradition — and their connection to the cycles of nature: creation, preservation, and transformation.

This afternoon’s practices weave together asana, pranayama, visualisation, mantra, mudra, incantation, and more—a tapestry of potent traditional techniques interlaced with Nubia’s own artistic innovations, born of decades of immersion in Yoga and Odissi, the classical dance of India.

In this immersive workshop, Nubia Teixeira teaches a yoga sadhana filled with our mother goddess imagery, sacred symbology, and potency. By experiencing yoga in a way that is more honoring of feminine power, you increase your self-acceptance, inner strength, and self-love. You build compassion toward yourself and your life, and ultimately toward all beings.

Through simple, balancing, empowering, and nourishing practices, appropriate for all ages and all body types, you enliven all the layers of your being. Through a combination of asana, prayer, pranayama, visualization, incantation, mantra, and mudra, you develop a deep understanding of shaktism (worship of feminine power) and tools to continue your practice at home.

No previous yoga experience is required.
